Two more flowers for my garden, a great accomplishment considering the other projects I worked on didn't work out so well. I was paper piecing 2 blocks that were suppose to come out to the same size....well one was 6 inches and the other was only 5 inches. My husband said 'I can't believe you didn't notice that sooner.' Well, the 5" was not just one piece of paper you added on to - you had to combine papers together to get the finished pieced (1st time I did this). Next time, hopefully, I won't assume the pattern is correct.
Maybe next time I'll tell you about updating my blog and what my daughter said about darker background colors................How about now: My daughter said it's like a how a moth is attracted to a flame,,,old ladies see all these color options and are drawn to them and so they decide to pick the darkest one so you can't even read what they write. I know I have no trouble with the dark backgrounds, I really like them - maybe I'll try one next time....when she's not helping me.

Good luck picking out a dark background when you can't even figure out the difference between html and javascript haha :P
Your hexies are beautiful. I love the colors you chose.
Bummer about your blocks, but your flowers are lovely! I love what your daughter had to say about dark backgrounds. She is so right, in most cases you can't even read them. I get an instant headache from dark backgrounds and sadly have to exit as fast as I entered the blog. So, if you go dark, please keep your postings brief! LOL.
I love your hexies. Your garden must be growing to a good size by now. :)
Sorry about your blocks, they do look nice tho.
No makes me so cross when I make mistakes with my blocks.
I also don't like dark backgounds.
Love your pretty flowers.
Love your pretty red flowers. It's a pity about your two blocks, better luck next time.
Wonderful flowers!! I hope you have a better time making the blocks next time.
Sweet hexies! And I agree I hate dark backgrounds, I leave the blog as quickly as I entered! I love the little Quiltghost below too, Cutie!
Sorry about your blocks, but your flowers are beautiful, very nice fabrics. I agree with your daughter, it is more difficult to read the words on dark back ground. I was taught that in the old days when I was working on layouts as a typesetter for Magazines.
Hi there, I love the One-Flower Wednesday pictures and comments! Are you really challenged to paper pieced the 3" Building Scrap Houses? I'm linked but slow on my first 10days.... How are u doing?
Hi Danette you flowers are lovely, sound like you started you houses. Happy quilting jinnie
What a shame when you put the effort into making a block and it doesn't turn out - good luck next time/s! Love your pretty red flowers... and your latest siggie - very cute.
Your hexagons are great!
Since "old ladies" have the worst eyesight, shouldn't they be unable to read the dark backgrounds she's complaining about? LOL Yes, try a dark background. White on black is pretty easy for me to read, just like black on white.
